Plan Your Visit
You belong here—and we mean that.
Sacred Place is a small, scrappy, genuinely inclusive church in Rancho Cucamonga. We’re part of the United Church of Christ—a progressive denomination where each congregation makes its own choices about belief and welcome. Ours are clear: no one gets told they don’t belong in God’s family because of who they are. Not because of who they love, how they identify, what they’ve been through, or what they do or don’t believe yet.
We’re not a production. We’re a small community that shows up every Sunday to do something real together. If you’ve been burned by church before—or if you’ve never tried—you’re exactly who we’re thinking about.
Plan your visit today, and we will…
- Give you all the details about our gatherings.
- Connect and answer any questions.
- Help you pre-register kids if you have any.
- Do everything we can to make you feel like part of our family.
So go ahead, tap this button to plan your experience.
Is this place for me?
Yes, explicitly. We’re an Open and Affirming church—that’s an official UCC designation, not a catchphrase. It means we’ve made a formal commitment to the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. It’s not a footnote; it’s foundational.
No. We’re non-creedal—we don’t require you to recite a statement of faith or hold any particular theology. Bring your questions, your doubts, and your whole complicated relationship with faith. All of it is welcome here.
Seriously, but not without error or context. We read Scripture as literature—poetry, history, letters, apocalyptic writing—written by people with stories to tell from their own context. We take the Bible as literary, not literal, which means we engage it deeply without flattening it.
We have a kids ministry for TK–5th grade that meets during Sunday gatherings—storytelling, crafts, and real conversation, using the Mini Revolutions curriculum from Illustrated Ministry.
Joining in person?
One question you may be asking is “When should I show up?”
Here’s the short answer:
- Unless otherwise noted, the main gathering begins at 11 AM.
- On Mission Sundays, everyone should show up at 10:30 AM.
- We know it can be daunting visiting a smaller church for the first time, so we recommend that you plan your visit.
Here’s the longer answer:
- Join us at 10:30 AM for our informal time of refreshments & refreshing conversation before our main gathering.
- This is a great time to get to know folx and grab some snacks.
- Prefer to sneak in the back for your first visit?
- Arrive at 11 AM for our main gathering time of music, reflection, and worship.
- We have couches off to the side — comfortable, with a bit more space.
