Micah 5:2–5a; 6:6–8
Micah preached to people who thought God could be bought with bigger offerings. His answer fits in one sentence: do justice, love goodness, and walk modestly with your God. He also says the one who brings peace will come from Bethlehem, the smallest of Judah’s clans. This week we sit with what God actually asks and where God keeps choosing to begin, and then we end the gathering around the table with our Thanksgiving lunch. All are welcome.
