This Sunday is Mission Sunday—which means we’re skipping our regular gathering format and doing something different instead.
We’re gathering for brunch at Kick Back Jack’s at 11 AM. Sacred Place is covering the cost. Just bring yourself.
Please RSVP so we know how many seats to plan for: https://yoursacredplace.org/brunch-rsvp
Paul and Silas are in a Roman prison at midnight—beaten, chained, singing hymns. Then the earth shakes, the doors swing open, and the jailer falls to his knees. “Singing at Midnight” asks what it looks like to worship before the deliverance comes—and discovers that the singing itself might be the miracle.
Paul walks into Athens and finds an altar to an unknown God. He doesn’t tear it down—he preaches from it. What if the Spirit is already at work in the places we least expect, in the people we least expect, even in us?
Before the Wind Comes, we practice emptying.
Paul is in prison. He shouldn’t be writing a letter full of joy—and yet. Philippians opens with gratitude so stubborn it feels almost defiant, and by chapter two it breaks into song: the oldest poem in the Christian tradition, the one that says God chose to become small. To let go of everything. To make room.
One week before Pentecost, we sit with the posture that makes space for the Spirit.
Let’s start a conversation.
Not ready to visit yet? That’s okay. Text us with questions, prayer requests, or just to learn more. When you’re ready to plan a visit, we can do that too.
